The Story Behind 7 Point Audio

Seven Point Technologies is the company behind 7 Point Audio, a music playback solution built for the unique demands of live sports entertainment.

The company was founded by Jeff Ball and Erik Jorgensen, two individuals whose paths crossed through a shared connection to game-day audio, sports production, and the belief that music has the power to shape the energy of a live event.

Both came to the idea from different sides of the same experience. One had spent years working with audio playback technology used in sports venues. The other was actively using those tools in the real world, performing as a DJ for professional teams and live audiences where every cue, transition, and crowd response mattered.

That shared perspective created a simple but powerful question:

Is there a better way to plan, organize, and perform music for live sports?

From the beginning, 7 Point Audio was not built as a generic audio player. It was created for the moments that happen inside a stadium, arena, gym, or ballpark — the walk-ins, timeouts, inning breaks, player moments, sponsor reads, crowd prompts, celebrations, and everything in between. It was designed for the people responsible for turning a schedule of game elements into an experience the crowd can feel.

At its core, 7 Point Audio was born from a passion for music, a love of sports, and an understanding that the right sound at the right moment can change the energy of an entire venue.

What started as a shared idea quickly became a focused effort to build something practical, flexible, and purpose-built for the way DJs and Music Directors actually work. The goal was never simply to play music. The goal was to help game-day professionals move faster, stay organized, react in the moment, and create stronger connections between the action on the field and the people in the stands.

Early versions of 7 Point Audio were tested in real sports environments, including major live events and professional team settings. Those opportunities helped shape the product into something grounded in actual game-day needs rather than assumptions. Every feature, workflow, and refinement has continued to be influenced by the people who use it in the booth, on headset, and under pressure during live events.

Today, 7 Point Audio continues to evolve through that same lens. Customer feedback, real-world usage, and the changing needs of sports entertainment professionals remain central to how the product grows.

Seven Point Technologies exists to support the people who create the soundtrack of live sports. 7 Point Audio was built for those moments when music does more than fill space — it builds anticipation, drives emotion, celebrates success, and brings fans into the experience.

That is where 7 Point Audio began, and it is still what drives it forward.
